It has been a while hasn't it!!!!!! So many things have come and gone since my last post that it's almost too much to fill you in on ... which is one of the reasons I haven't blogged as it all becomes too overwhelming!
In my last post oh so long ago I had a giveaway and I feel soooo embarrassed that I have made you all wait sooooooo long that I have decided to increase the winners - originally the giveaway was for 3 patterns including one kit ... so I am now giving away 9 patterns one of which will receive a kit .....
The first winner is.....Patty!!!
Patty not only purchased a pattern during the giveaway period but also posted about it on her blog. Thank you Patty and congratulations! I have decided to send you a full copy of Memories which I released at Spring Market (oh so long ago now) this pattern includes the Family Tree pattern I originally was going to giveaway and 3 other cushion patterns as well. Patty will also recieve a kit to make Family Tree.
Family Tree (included in the pattern Memories)
All of the winners listed below will receive a copy of From The Heart which includes all of the projects that were listed individually in the giveaway ....
Thinking of you... (included in From the heart)
Lisa made comment number 54: Wow, another super awesome quilt...you are truly amazing and love the patterns and colors! Lisa in Texas
Ethne made comment number 51: Kellie - what a stunning alphabet quilt its amazing to see what you've made for us to dribble over during your blog breaks - congratulations to all the winners!
Love (included in the pattern From the heart)
Lynnette made comment number 25: I absolutely adore your designs!!!
Maria made comment number 104: Oh my! Animal Alphabet is just beyond words!! Super cool and adorable all at the same time! I love how it's a quilt one can make the same for both genders and the little critters are just too adorable for words, I mean look at the Iguana and the Yaks! Pure Love for this pattern and one day I vow make one =) I'd love to be entered in the draw, I've been wanting to try one of your patterns for ages but they're just a little intimidating for me who just started FMQ. =)
Garden Gathering (included in the pattern From the heart)
Elyte made comment number 118: After our first workshop with you, you have made these projects so achievable. Love your patterns and look forward to finishing what we started in June.
Michelle made comment number 87: What a stunning new quilt! I have so many of your patterns and am excitedly starting one for my daughter this month. Your detail and fabric use is amazing. I would love this opportunity to win one of your remarkable patterns.
Judith made comment number 8: If at first you don't succeed try, try......! So thank you for another chance to win.
And last but not least ... Debbie made comment number 88: Maybe I'll get lucky this time and win one of your beautiful patterns, Kellie! Thanks for counting me in.
Congratulations to all of our winners! Can you all please send me a quick email with your snail mail details so I can get these in the mail ASAP. I hope that you enjoy making the patterns!!!
I also wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everybody who commented and for your kind words. They really are very much appreciated.
No more for now .... just wanted to get this done and reassure those of you who have been worried that I am indeed still breathing and sewing!!!!! Photos of everything that has happened during the 'gap' in next post .....
Cheers

Welcome back, I really have enjoyed your blog. I hope that you accomplished what you set out to do during this blog break. The pc does suck up the time and if you have deadlines, etc it's understandable to break from blogs.

Kellie!!! I am so shocked I have just seen your "Peak Hour" Fabrics on Fabric.com website, did I miss you blogging about this or have you been far to busy to tell us all?!!! and we cant get it till March 2012?!! I'm especially loving the Chunky dots, stripes and stearing wheel fabric!! I can see myself using those on just about everything! Looking forward to getting my paws on it even if I do have to wait 6 whole months plus the few weeks it would take to get to me in England! Congratulations!

I've long said that there are two paths to career success: the direct path and the indirect path.
One can, for example, work hard, be helpful to one's colleagues, and cultivate a reputation for probity and reliability. That's the indirect path.
The direct path is to spend every waking moment doing whatever will most effectively advance one's career. At times, that will be something that reflects honesty and integrity--and at times, that will involve back-stabbing one's colleagues, or lying to one's superiors, or swindling one's partners.
In my experience, the very top echelons of business (and also, I suspect, politics, culture, entertainment--even academia) are dominated by those who have arrived via the direct path. They simply have too much of an advantage over those who have stuck to the indirect path. That they are generally ruthless, unscrupulous and egomaniacal is merely a matter of filtering: these are the personality traits that make one capable of charging ahead along the direct path.
