The little people woke this morning for the first time in weeks without having to be begged to get up and get ready for school ... not because they were excited to go to school but because they have been anticipating this for the past few days....
I love the whole build up to Christmas ... even as the kids get older it is still just as exciting as it was in their first few years.
Plus what's even more exciting ... I only have to make 60 more school lunches before school holidays!!!! Wooohooo!!!
What's more I have finally found some time to sew this week .. what a pleasure!
This is one of the projects from Memories.
So nice to just make something for the heck of it!
Oh and I almost forgot it's the first day of Summer ... oh how I love Summer days ... mind you it wasn't much of a Summer day here in Melbourne today ... but all good things come to those who wait!
Happy days!
Kelliex
PS You may also like to have a listen to this ...
I kind of cringe at hearing my own voice so I'm trying to avoid it ... but it was lovely to meet Pat and it wasn't nearly as terrifying as I had anticipated!!!! A friend told me that it was very me ... not so sure if that was a complement or not but in the mood I'm in today I am just going to assume that it was!!!! :)

I love your quilts! Stunning! :)

At first glance I thought your Advent calendar was quite small but the noticed it had comics and magazines in it so it must be HUGE and stacked to the gills with goodies too .... lucky kids :-)

Oh, I just have to tell you that I loved working on my Rainbow Lollipop quilt. I just finished it (except for the label). I was pretty good at doing the swirls, but they're no where near as good as yours!!. I wish you were closer so that I could have a lesson. Thanks again for a great pattern!! I blogged about it today, so come by for a visit to have a look.

Hi Kellie,
I had no idea you had gotten the 16. I've met you a couple times in Houston at market, and have just seen pictures of you FMQing on your little machine. I was eyeing the 16 as well in the fall Market of 2010 and got one in April of last year. I absolutely love it!!! I think it's a brilliant option for FMQers that want a bigger machine but don't want the full size long arm. I'd love to hear more about what you think of it, how it differs for you from using your regular machine and any helps or suggestions you might have. I bought both extension tables, which I'm really happy with. Not many people have this machine, so I haven't seen much of it, but I think it is going to take off with so many quilters starting to experience FMQing. I'm so excited you have one!!! Why don't you do another post all about your 16 with lots of pictures. I love your work, thank you for so openly sharing. Your talent is one of a kind, and you have brought to this industry an amazingly different aspect of quilting.
