the Melbourne Winter ....

...can't beat a Summer holiday in Winter! The kids just love the swimming part ... I just love not having to cook and being able to stitch away quietly all day long while they splash about in the pool. I have managed to finish 8 Joseph's Coat blocks since we arrived!
This year we decided to visit the inland areas of Fiji...

... rather than the little islands like we had done last year. We traveled along the Sigatoka River to a small village and spent some time with the locals.

It was truly an experience to remember.

We love Fiji!

Hi, Your quilts are an inspiration to me. I used to steer away from applique projects as it takes up so much time. I cant wait to try this method out and I am sure I will be totally hooked. Keep the designs coming!

Okay. This is officially my second favorite pattern (after the monsters one!). I have five boys, and my youngest is a car-monger! I absolutely love this one. Bring on the raw-edge applique, I say!
The random person who left a comment on all three blog posts is ... the lovely Tess from Driftwood!
Finally, the person who purchased one of my new patterns that collects the pattern & kit is ...
Megan Kay who purchased Worry Dolls from my store ...
Congrats everyone!

One the 31st of July & the 1st of August I am going to be in Sydney for a two day workshop hosted by the absolutely gorgeous Corrie AKA Retro-mummy. This is my one and only Sydney workshop for the year. We announced this class a long, long, long time ago and it filled within a couple of days. There are going to be some famous blog & non-blog faces among this crowd ... but more on this after the class! What I wanted to let you know is that a couple of people have had to cancel their spots so if you are interested in coming along please email Corrie for the details.

OK ... I'm off only 3 more days of tropical bliss and then back to reality. Sorry about the editing and lack of photos .... posting using an internet speed that is running at a snails pace is torture!!!!!
