Yep it's that time again! ... well it was actually yesterday ;)

... and who could wish me a more fitting Birthday wish than Hoops & Yoyo????

I love these guys!!! Make sure you check out their Hallmark cards they are fantastic!!!

Soooooo many things happening here at the moment but I only have a few minutes to spare so let's see what I can cram in here!

If you are in Newcastle for the Craftfest ... then you simply must go check out the Blueberries stand they have a little collection of my quilts and cushions to take a peek at and they also have all of my patterns in stock if you feel the need to get up close and personal with Don't Look Now!

Also if you do happen to buy a pattern make sure you keep your receipt so that you can enter the giveaway... you still have 6 more days to get your entries in!!!

Julie from A Quilting Passion will also be at the Craftfest. Julie has a great on-line shop and has many of my patterns in stock so make sure you stop by and say hi and spread a little of the love around!!!

I am the guest speaker at the Essendon Quilters Inc next Wednesday night ... if you are coming along please make sure you say hi!!! Speaking to such a large group is a little daunting so it's always nice to have a few people in the crowd who I 'know' :) !

Joshua and all of the other Prep's serenaded us last night at the school with a terrific song called Connie Confidence!!! 

My sweet boy I am so pleased that you are loving school so much!!!

I have so many things that I want to share with you but I have made a resolution to try and post smaller more frequent posts ... so all of the details about last weeks Ballarat class ...and the latest Joseph's Coat round up will have to wait until next time. But just a couple of photos wont take too long ;)

Before I go I will share one more slightly exciting thing .....

Don't Look Now is coming to America!!!!!!

Wooooo Hoooooooo!!!! I can not tell you how excited and terrified I am about this one!!! On the 17th of May this year Jan & I will be packing up all of my quilts and cushions and anything else I can cram into my suit case and heading across to Minneapolis, Minnesota where we will be meeting up with my darling Anna who is going to be helping us out at the Spring Quilt Market!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to need to go lay down for a while now after actually 'saying' this out loud!!! It makes it all very 'real' doesn't it!

Two & 1/12th ...

Sunday the 10th of January was the second anniversary of Don't Look Now! ... yes, yes I know I'm a little late!

  

It now seems hard to believe that there was life before blogging ....

I have no idea what I did with my time before Don't Look Now!!!

... other than run around after this lot of course!!!

Blogging has been so good for me in so very many ways!

I have gotten to know so many wonderful people through blogging ...

it has provided me with a creative distraction in a time of my life where it was so desperately needed ...

... and quite unexpectedly ... blogging has paved the way toward a whole new career ....

... a whole new direction in my life that I would never have thought possible two years ago when I first clicked on Save Post ...

Thank you!

... to all of you! It certainly wouldn't be as much fun without you!!!!!

Thank you to everyone who left me such beautiful comments on my last post ... they were much appreciated! Joshua loved his first week and I have found something to fill the gap ...

This is Tom (centre)! He is so adorable and has soaked up every spare minute of my time!!!

He and his brother& sisters are rescued kittens ... if you would like one well I suspect you are probably too late as these little cuties are going to be walking out the door!!!!

As for me, well .... I spent the weekend at Sewjournwith Jan & 6 others sewing, eating, relaxing & generally enjoying ourselves & each others company.

Mary & Donna traveled all the way from Canberra to join us!!! Donna is lucky enough to work at Addicted to Fabric! I am so looking forward to my trip there in a couple of weeks! Donna had a very beautiful pack of fabric with her that they sell with together with my patterns at A2F ...

Not bad?!!!! Makes you just want to go buy some fabric doesn't it???!!!!

Thank you guys for a really terrific weekend!!!! There are many other photos to share from the weekend but for now I need to finish up and get some sleep ... I'll post them on Flickr in the next few days.

So what's next in the house of Don't Look Now ... well .... I'm off to Patchwork House in the morning for my first workshop there for the year!

... and on Saturday I will be scooting off to Ballarat  for the last day of a workshop that we started a couple of weeks ago ... these guys came from far and wide!!!

 I can't wait to see how you guys are coming along ... but more on this next week!

Just a thought for those of you who are locals and have been thinking about joining the Joseph's Coat Quiltalong but either haven't gotten around to it yet or maybe you might like a little more coaching ... if you are interested in coming along to a class to get you started or over a hump then email me and we will look into setting something up.

Do you remember this ....

this was poor Joshua about 10 months ago when he realised that he wasn't going to be starting school that day .... it's a long story ...

Anyway ... today I got up very early and packed 4 lunch boxes, filled 4 water bottles, laid out four school uniforms and yelled four children off to school!

 
and then there was just me :( ..... it hasn't been just me at home for 10 1/2 years this is going to take some getting used to!

I am going to miss your incessant conversation!

I am going to miss you singing along to James Taylor in the back of the car!

I am going to miss you sitting in your little chair beside me watching me 'quilt'n'!

I am going to miss the minute by minute count downs from 11.30am until lunchtime ... how will I ever know when it is time to eat lunch now???

I am going to miss your hand in mine ...

I love you my sweet little boy!

I am going to miss you!
