Tagged again ...

In the words of a dear friend "I must learn to run faster". Only kidding this is fun plus its a good way to meet you guys!

I was tagged by a new to blogging (not unlike myself) mother / daughter team (how cool is that? My Megan has plans for a blog where she wants to review children's books ... but more on that much later). I must admit I had not visited them before but it was a lovely surprise - craft, food & books - go take a look at Sarah & Lisa at spoonfullofsugargirls they're great.

So with this tag I have to list 7 weird or random facts about myself ... shouldn't be too hard as I am the closeted queen of weird. So here goes;

1. I love colour - bright, fresh & spectacular colour, pink, green, orange, yellow & everything that glows ... but I only wear black. (except for denim - I have used a bit of poetic license here!)

2. I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I love her strength, her gorgeousness, the shows witty dialog, the romance & occasional vampire / human sex scene (I'm really not as weird as this sounds! Honestly).

3. I rarely get to bed before 1am and lately it has become more like 2am. I love the quiet & solitude of those hours when everyone else in my generally very noisy house are asleep.

4. I'm left handed but eat right handed - not sure if this is weird or not but it is random.

5. I quote from Seinfeld like my step kids quote from The Simpson's.

6. My thumb joint bends the wrong way, see ...

very weird but great for hand-sewing!

7. I gain and loose 5kg each year ... this is just sad!

The next thing I had to do was tag 7 people ... which I am going to fail at sadly as I don't know many people ... two of which I will name but not tag as they are both going to be so busy this week with the Craft & Quilting Show that I will not hassle them but go take a look at what they are up to anyway these girls are on their way 'up' - the lovely Louise & crafty Cathy (both of which you all know I'm sure) - forgive the alliteration!

I do have three people that I will tag ...

Firstly there is Bronwyn. Bronwyn loves Whippets! and crafting and stacks of other stuff ... when you do stop by her site please leave a comment & make sure you let her know what beautiful embroidery she does ... and make a complete ass of yourself as I did as you see she bought the embroidery, arrrh, my speed reading is not so good. Sorry Bronwyn! I will be watching to see how that chenille goes though!

Next there is Jodie who has the most beautiful little blond daughter & can cook a mean Salmon Mornay Pasta Bake! And who is also a fellow procrastinator so is swapping a spring wall quilt with me as we both missed the deadlines for joining up with the official swap.

Last but surely not least I tag Kirsten who writes so beautifully ... even when using profanities! This girl has talent! Make sure you take a look at her post 'I am" dated 16th of February.

The last thing I have to do is list The Rules;

1. Link back the the person who tagged you

2. Post The Rules on your blog

3. Post 7 weird or random facts about yourself on your blog

4. Tag 7 people & link to them

5 Comment on their blogs to let them know they have been tagged.

This has been a very wordy entry. So for those of you who have managed to stay with me, here are a couple of shots of what we did today ...

Luna Park! We had a fantastic time even though it was so very hot! I am adding this picture because Jessie managed to steel Meg's limelight ... mmmmm little sisters!

If you live in Melbourne make sure you go. We went because Moomba has become too expensive with 4 kids ... this was by far a better option. Minimal if any lines and a lot more cost effective (last year we spent $16 on each ride that the 4 kids went on at Moomba ... ouch!).

Enjoy your week!

See ya

Kellie

PS. Jessie's Christmas Quilt didn't get finished ... maybe by the end of the week.

Thanks Kellie! This will be my first 'tag' and I wanted to change your '0' comments to at least '1'!! I actually kept myself awake last night trying to think of interesting things to say about myself - how's that for self-obsessed! No, actually could only think of 3 things HaHa! Do you know I held my right thumb up to the computer screen and it looks just like yours! Freaky!

Hi Kellie, Thanks for playing along. It is good to hear that Megan loves to read - keep us posted if she starts up a blog, we are always on the lookout for new childrens authors. Your love of bright colours is no surprise after viewing all your beautiful quilts and your flexible thumb must give you a distinct advantage with your hand quilting. Cheers Lisa
